Drawing and Watercolour - Google Classrooms
On this course we will dip into a variety of drawing and watercolour projects on a week by week basis. Your tutor, Vaughan, will deliver a short demonstration to your group at the start of the live session, followed by an opportunity to engage with the project at home, whilst receiving guidance, advice and tips as you work. We will cover several areas of subject matter including, aspects of land/seascape, portraiture, animal sketching and still life. As the weeks progress, we will use a variety of different media, to include watercolour, soft pastel, pen and ink and charcoal.

• Provide leaners with an opportunity to develop and refine their experience of drawing and watercolour practice.

• Develop creative and technical skills with a variety of media to include: soft and oil pastel, pencil, charcoal drawing, pen and wash and waterolour.

• The course will provide an encouraging, stimulating and fast-paced working environment with an emphasis on fun and enjoyment.

• An interest in painting and drawing together with any related creative experience.

• This course is ideally suited to people who enjoy a very diverse and dynamic programme of teaching, with an underlying commitment to the rudiments of drawing and painting practice.

Drawing and Watercolour Materials

Good quality watercolour paper - 140lb NOT Surface or ROUGH.
Watercolour paints - Winsor and Newton or similar - tubes.
Selection of watercolour brushes - medium to large in size
Drawing board, masking tape, water spray mister, Masking Fluid
Set of GOOD QUALITY soft pastels - Senellier/ Faber Castell/Rembrandt etc
Box of charcoal - medium/large sticks
Black waterproof ink
Set of sketching pencils, paper for drawing.
You will also need a printer or a device to view images for each session.
