Course Overview

This is a 30 week course, which consists of three 10 week terms.

Want to make the perfect garment that fits like a glove? Join a sewing class and learn how. With guidance from your friendly tutor, watch your wardrobe grow!

Students will be taught at a level to suit their needs - from complete beginners onwards.
Skills will be developed whilst students work on individual projects.

Additional Costs

Fabric, patterns, bobbins and also photocopying, 5p per sheet.
Sewing kit, eg, scissors, pins, needles.
If not already owned please wait for the first lesson where advice will be given.
Sewing machines are available at Llanover Hall.

What should I bring to the first lesson?

Notebook and pen, basic needlework equipment, scraps of fabric and cottons.
Fabric and pattern if possible - but if you are a complete beginner please wait until you have discussed with your tutor.

Eligibility:

Those who are not currently in education, training or employment and are in receipt of state benefits or support (excluding state retirement pension). those aged 50 plus who are not in full-time employment.

- To allow us to provide equal opportunities for all eligible learners, please refrain from enrolling on more that three Learning For Work courses at this time. -
