Course Overview
This is an entry level course for those with no prior knowledge of French or very rusty school French. Students will receive an introduction to the French language and culture, with an emphasis on acquiring basic conversational skills in particular. By the end of the course, learners will be able to express themselves in a variety of everyday situations such as meeting new people, ordering drinks and snacks in a café and shopping for food. You will also be able to read and understand basic French such as menus, signs and timetables. French 1 is taught in a small, friendly group giving you the opportunity to try out your French and practise in a supportive environment.
