In this course, we will be creating small-scale sculptures with air-clay modelling clay, alongside mixed media including string, wire, paint, found/discarded objects and textiles.

You will be guided through a series of step by step tasks to interpret as you wish (think 3D doodles) to help you tap into your creativity by exploring possibilities and thinking ‘outside the box’, and then we will develop these ideas into mini-sculptures with meaning or/and purpose or/and just for the sheer fun of it!

If you are looking to explore your creative side through guided and free-style play and experimentation without any pressure, then this “Experimental Sculpture” course is for you!

No experience necessary, basic materials provided (feel free to bring your own!)
Note:
Wear old clothes, bring an apron, bring a medium size sturdy cardboard box each week to transport your work, as no storage is available at the centre.

Ali also teaches Experimental Drawing, pottery, drawing and painting, yoga and sound bath meditation at the centre, and has three degree in Applied Arts, Ceramics and Colour Theory.

Eligibility:

Those who are not currently in education, training or employment and are in receipt of state benefits or support (excluding state retirement pension). those aged 50 plus who are not in full-time employment.

- To allow us to provide equal opportunities for all eligible learners, please refrain from enrolling on more that three Learning For Work courses at this time. -
