Course Overview

This course is creative, instructive and fast paced!

Each week, we shall cover a diverse range of techniques including, pen and wash, soft pastel, watercolour, charcoal and pencil. Subjects will be set by the tutor, Vaughan and will include, landscape, seascape, animals, portraiture and still-life.

Vaughan will deliver a demonstration each week, together with 1:1 and group tuition allowing you to develop and enrich your artistic skills.

What should I bring to the first lesson?

Drawing and Watercolour Materials

Good quality watercolour paper - 140lb NOT Surface or ROUGH.
Watercolour paints - Winsor and Newton or similar - tubes.
Selection of watercolour brushes - medium to large in size
Drawing board, masking tape, water spray mister, Masking Fluid
Set of GOOD QUALITY soft pastels - Senellier/ Faber Castell/Rembrandt etc
Box of charcoal - medium/large sticks
Black waterproof ink
Set of sketching pencils, paper for drawing

Eligibility:

Those who are not currently in education, training or employment and are in receipt of state benefits or support (excluding state retirement pension). those aged 50 plus who are not in full-time employment.

- To allow us to provide equal opportunities for all eligible learners, please refrain from enrolling on more that three Learning For Work courses at this time. -
