Course Overview

Suitable for beginners.
Learn about fabrics, pattern adjusting skills. stitching and seam and how to use a sewing machine to create unique individual products for you and your home. As a beginner you could start by making a bag or an envelope cushion cover as they cover basic sewing skills ie stitching a seam and neatening it ,reverse to secure and sewing a straight line. You will need to bring your own sewing machine for this course.

What should I bring to the first lesson?

You will need to bring your own sewing machine. Any fabrics, patterns etc for your projects. If you are unsure fabrics, threads and a sewing kit will be provided for you to start.

Eligibility:

Those who are not currently in education, training or employment and are in receipt of state benefits or support (excluding state retirement pension). those aged 50 plus who are not in full-time employment.
