Course Overview

Garden Inspired Batiks
Nature has so much inspiration for artists to create work. So, look no further than your garden, potted plant of local park. Explore the outlines of flowers and plants to create a Batik Banner design you can hang to bring the outdoors in.
Batik is a dyeing technique using wax resist. Draw with was to create your designs and colour with dyes.

What should I bring to the first lesson?

Bring along photographs and images for your own inspiration.
Bring along an apron or wear old clothes

Eligibility:

Those who are not currently in education, training or employment and are in receipt of state benefits or support (excluding state retirement pension). those aged 50 plus who are not in full-time employment.
