Course Overview

The course will be looking at different ways to unlock your creativity when it comes to songwriting. I want to try and demystify writing a song. I used to overthink everything, I had to have the perfect notebook the perfect chords the perfect lyrics and that’s just impossible. Instead I started just writing and trying stuff out - some ideas work some ideas don’t but it doesn’t matter. The most important thing is writing and trying.
I will be giving prompts and ideas to start off your lyric writing and how to fit and tweak those lyrics to fit into a rhythm and then add a melody.

What should I bring to the first lesson?

You can bring an instrument along if you wish, although this isnt neccessary.

Eligibility:

Those who are not currently in education, training or employment and are in receipt of state benefits or support (excluding state retirement pension). those aged 50 plus who are not in full-time employment.
