What should I bring to the first lesson?
Equipment for week 1
Apron, tea towel, small sugarcraft rolling pin; Small scissors; Craft knife or scalpel;
Sugarcraft modelling tools; silicon mat or other suitable table cover;
Modelling paste (Saracino) – white-250g; skin colour - 250g; teddy bear (light) brown – 250g;
6’’ round polystyrene cake shape or something to position your figures on (you will decorate it as a real cake); 1-2 thin paint brushes; 1-2 BBQ bamboo sticks; 1cocktail stick; cake box to deliver your figures.
For lessons throughout the 10 weeks course you will need:
Silicon mat; Corn starch for dusting your board; Trex; Fondant – white; Sugarcraft Rolling pin; Sugarcraft cake smoothers x 2; Cake board & Cake box (8’’); Cake tin – 6’’(deep tin); Modelling paste - white (Saracino); Flower paste (I use Saracino Pasta Bouquet, but you can use other brands); Floristry wires –N20; 26; 28; Floristry tape – Nile green; Little pliers (for cutting the wires) - all could be purchased from Cake decorating shops (online) – look note with links
