During Term 1 (10 weeks) September - December 2026 you will learn how to:
Making a beautiful Cymbidium Orchid out of gumpaste;
Working with Modelling chocolate – Making Fun Dragon figurine out of modelling chocolate;
Funny Christmas cake topper figurines; Making red Amaryllis. Decorating a beautiful Christmas cake;
You will need to purchase equipment and ingredients through this course to complete the topics. Each week your tutor will tell you what you will need for the following week. Full terms topics and equipment needed will be posted in the classroom at the start of term, so that you will know what to buy.

What should I bring to the first lesson?
Equipment for week 1
Apron, tea towel, Thin rolling pin/ cell stick; Flower grove board; Dresden instrument; Scissors; Metal ball; Wire cutter scissors or pliers; Florist wires white #20’; #24; #26’ #28; florist Nail tape-green; Cymbidium Orchid cutter (from Vanilla Valley or Amazon).Cymbidium Orchid veiner (optional).
Apple green; Pale yellow; Burgundy or lilac dust colours; Corn starch for dusting your board; Trex; Sponge for drying leaves; Box for transporting your flower petalls. Petal paste/Gumpaste (I use Saracino Pasta Bouquet, but you can use paste of your choice).

For lessons throughout the year you will need:
Flower paste (Saracino pasta Bouquet; Simply heaven or other brands); Fondant; White Modelling chocolate-(Saracino); Modelling paste – white; red; flower leaf shaper tool (Dresden instrument); Modelling instruments; Small rolling pin; Silicon mat;
