Course Overview
This is a 33 week course, which consists of three 11 week terms.

• Provide a basic course in Drawing and Painting, suitable for beginners and improvers.

• All aspects of basic drawing and painting skills (in water-based medium) are covered.

• No prior knowledge is required.

• Broaden and stimulate learners' own observational and representation skills over a broad range of subjects, encouraging and enhancing learners' own expressive techniques.

• There are no specific requirements for joining, just come with an open mind for learning more about art materials and how to get the most out of them. Being open to trying new techniques and approaches will help expand your perspective and range of skills. Over the 33wks, the intention is for learners to explore and develop their preferred choice of drawing and painting media and their own personal style.

• Learners to bring along their preferred choice of drawing and painting media.

• If learner is new to the course, bring some B range pencils (they can be bought as a set of B-9B), a putty rubber, an A4/A3 cartridge paper sketch pad and a basic starter kit of water based paints (watercolours, acrylics or gouache).
